Nipple and areola correction

What nipple correction changes
Nipple correction reduces the nipple or areola, changes its position or brings inverted nipples outwards. As a stand-alone procedure it is done under local anaesthetic as an outpatient.

Frequently asked questions about nipple correction
Is nipple correction an outpatient procedure?
As a stand-alone procedure, yes: under local anaesthetic, and you go home the same day. Combined with an augmentation or lift it is done under general anaesthetic with one night in the clinic.
How are inverted nipples corrected?
Inverted nipples often result from shortened milk ducts. These are carefully released so that the nipple projects outwards and keeps its new position.
Will there be scars?
Ideally an incision at the edge of the areola is enough; the scar then lies at the transition and is barely visible later.
When can I return to work?
Desk work is usually possible the next day, and you are generally ready to be seen the next day as well.
When can I exercise again?
After about four weeks.
When will I see the final result?
The result is usually visible straight away; it takes up to six months for all swelling to subside.
How much does nipple correction cost?
As a stand-alone procedure from €1,500. Combined with an augmentation or lift, the price depends on the overall procedure.
