3D simulation: see your new breasts before surgery

With 3D simulation you see the possible result of breast surgery during the initial consultation — as a three-dimensional model of your own body, with different implants, and with a virtual reality headset if you wish. That way you and your surgeon share the same picture.

  • 3D model of your body
  • Virtual reality headset
  • Try implants virtually

The 3D simulation is part of the initial consultation and included.

How the simulation works

The 3D simulation takes only a few minutes and is part of the initial consultation. Your possible new breasts take shape in three steps:

  1. Step 1Scan

Your upper body is recorded in three dimensions — in around two minutes.

  2. Step 2Simulation

Together with your surgeon you try different implants, shapes and volumes on the model.

  3. Step 3Virtual reality

Wearing the VR headset you move freely within the 3D scan and see your new breasts from every angle.

“Try on” your new breasts in advance

For the first time you can try on your new breasts in virtual reality and get an answer to the question: how might I look after the procedure? What is the difference between 300 and 400 ml? You compare it directly on your own body.

Dr. René Draxler explains the 3D simulation

Discussing the simulation

Has your surgeon understood you?

A larger bust means something different to every woman. With the model, surgeon and patient see exactly what each has in mind — and where they meet.

What the simulation can and cannot do

The simulation shows the intended change of shape faithfully, but it is not a promise: the body is not a workpiece, and the result will not be exactly as on screen. Its value lies in understanding — you see what is medically feasible, and we know exactly what you want.

Vectra 3D: the technology behind it

Anyone who is not satisfied with their face or body also knows what he or she would like to change. But will it then really look good? Are the proportions right and, much more importantly: do the doctor and the patient have the same picture in mind?

The Vectra 3D simulation device has an answer to all these questions. In the form, namely, of a perfect three-dimensional model of your body, which you can model together with the doctor according to your wishes. That helps not only you but also us, because it is the only way we can be sure that we have the same idea of your future body and/or face as you do.

A new dimension of beauty.

This is how it works.

Breast augmentation with Vectra 3D

The Vectra 3D simulator is – put simply – an oversized camera’ that shows three-dimensionally how the desired shapes around the bust, buttocks, nose & co. look in real time and real form. For this the desired part of the body is scanned from above, below and both sides. On the 3D model calculated from this, your surgeon models the changes discussed on the computer – this can be done in high resolution and to the millimetre. This process is carried out at an appointment together with the patient. In this way all wishes can be discussed and incorporated.

With the computer simulation you can see the desired change of shape true to life even before the procedure: the screen shows, for example, the augmented breast in a bikini. And because a picture says more than 1,000 words, questions such as ‘Does a teardrop-shaped implant suit me better?’ can also be illustrated and answered in this way.

Of understanding and being understood.

Since the human body is not a piece of wood that is carved to shape, the result naturally does not turn out a thousand per cent like the computer simulation. The point and purpose of the Vectra 3D is rather an approaching and an understanding: many patients often find it difficult to put their wishes into words. A larger bust or a narrower nose means something different to everyone, but with the 3D photos and in the discussion the doctor and the patient see precisely who has which idea – and where the two meet. Your surgeon understands your wishes and sees your concern more vividly; conversely, with the help of the Vectra 3D he can show what is medically feasible. In this way you find together the individually suitable shape and the appropriate surgical method. The result satisfies both sides: the patient feels understood and misunderstandings are ruled out.

Transparency creates trust

…and is one of the most important values at the Kuzbari Centre for Aesthetic Medicine. We talk openly and clearly about wishes and feasible medical options. Honesty on both sides is the basis of the relationship of trust between doctor and patient, which plays a central role particularly in aesthetic surgery. And with the new Vectra 3D we have an indispensable medical tool in our practice that contributes to better communication. The Vectra 3D makes possible three-dimensional simulations of treatment results for breast and facial operations as well as all forms of body shaping such as liposuction – and that at an even higher resolution than has been known until now.

Frequently asked questions about 3D simulation

Is the 3D simulation part of the consultation?

Yes. It takes place in the same appointment and is included.

How long does the 3D scan take?

Around two minutes. The simulation then takes place on the model.

Will the result look exactly like the simulation?

Not exactly. The simulation shows the intended shape faithfully, but every body heals differently. It ensures that you and your surgeon have the same goal in mind.

Can I compare different sizes?

Yes. You compare different volumes and shapes directly on your own body, including with the virtual reality headset.

Can I look at the simulation again at home?

After the consultation you can think it over in peace and look at your 3D simulation again, for example together with your partner.
