Your breast surgery: from consultation to result
Breast surgery at the Kuzbari Centre begins with a thorough initial consultation and ends with the last check-up — with eight clearly described steps in between. You are advised and operated on by Dr. Andreas Dobrovits or Dr. René Draxler, two specialists who devote themselves entirely to aesthetic breast surgery.
- 3D and VR simulation
- General anaesthesia
- One night at the centre
- First check-up after 2 weeks

From booking to the final result
Eight steps, one place: consultation, surgery, overnight stay and aftercare all take place under one roof at the Kuzbari Centre.
-
Step 1Book your appointment
You can book your initial consultation online around the clock, or by phone on +43 1 358 28 01, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:00. You choose whether Dr. Andreas Dobrovits or Dr. René Draxler advises you — he will also be the one who operates.
-
Step 2The initial consultation
We get to know each other, listen to your wishes, photograph and measure your breasts and look at the images together on a large screen. This often reveals small asymmetries you had not noticed. You try trial implants and see before and after photos of comparable patients.
-
Step 33D and VR simulation
A 3D scan of your upper body is created in around two minutes. Wearing the virtual reality headset, you try on different implants on your own body — so that you and your surgeon share the same picture before any operation.
-
Implant or your own fat?
By the end of the consultation the route that suits your anatomy and your wishes is clear. For an augmentation there are two options:
Both routes can be combined with a lift and follow the same path from here on.
- Step 4
Pre-op talk and safety check
Between the consultation and the operation you see us twice more: your surgeon goes through the surgical plan, the risks and how to behave before and afterwards; a specialist anaesthetist prepares the anaesthesia, including a blood test.
-
Step 5On the day: marking while standing
You check in on the ward, settle into your room and speak to your anaesthetist once more. Then your surgeon marks your breasts while you are standing and goes through the procedure with you one last time.
-
Step 6The operation
The operation takes place under general anaesthesia in one of the centre’s own operating theatres. A breast augmentation usually takes about an hour — and yet it takes as long as it needs to get the result right, because there is no outside theatre pushing for the next operation.
-
Step 7One night at the centre
After about an hour in the recovery room you are taken to your room. Nursing staff and the anaesthetist are there all night; dinner and breakfast come from the Park Hyatt Vienna. In the morning your surgeon opens the bra on the ward round — your first look at your new breasts.
-
Step 8Aftercare and check-ups
The first check-up is two weeks after the operation, and all further check-ups are included. You wear the compression bra day and night for two weeks, then at night for one more week. Endurance sport is allowed again after four weeks, strength training after six.
Your final result
You usually see the result straight away. It takes up to twelve months for all swelling to subside and for the result to be final.

What happens in the initial consultation
The initial consultation answers three questions: what do you want, what makes sense for your body, and which implant and technique will achieve it? We take as much time as you need. The consultation is without obligation.
- A conversation about your wishes: more volume, a lift after pregnancy and breastfeeding, or evening out two breasts of different sizes.
- Photos of your breasts, which we look at together on a large screen.
- Measurements: diameter, height and the elasticity of the tissue determine which implant fits — to the millimetre.
- Trial implants to feel and try on in a bra, plus the 3D and VR simulation.
- Before and after photos of patients with a similar starting point.
- An explanation of the procedure, the risks and the downtime of your operation.
- A written cost estimate and, if you wish, a plan for paying in instalments.
- As much time to think as you need. We will never try to push a patient into an operation.
The consultation on video
What a breast surgery consultation at the Kuzbari Centre looks like.
Has your surgeon understood what you want?
A larger bust means something different to every woman. In the simulation you see different implant sizes and shapes on your own body and can move freely wearing the virtual reality headset. You know what to expect — and your surgeon knows exactly what to do.
The right implant
The right implant is the key to a successful breast augmentation. Three questions decide: which size, which material and which position. The Kuzbari Centre uses silicone gel implants from renowned manufacturers, usually anatomically shaped and coated with polyurethane.
| Question | What matters | On video |
|---|---|---|
| Size | Your wish and what your tissue allows. There are around 200 sizes from 50 ml to over 1,000 ml; 180 to 200 ml correspond to roughly one cup size. | Dr. Dobrovits: how big is possible? |
| Material | Polyurethane-coated implants integrate well with the tissue and markedly lower the risk of capsular contracture. | Dr. Draxler: capsular contracture |
| Position | Beneath the breast gland or beneath the pectoral muscle — not a matter of taste but a consequence of your anatomy. | Dr. Dobrovits: where do the implants go? |
Which size is possible?
Which material protects against capsular contracture?
Above or below the muscle?

Frequently asked questions about the procedure
How does breast surgery at the Kuzbari Centre work?
In eight steps: booking, consultation with measurements and 3D simulation, choosing between implant and own fat, pre-op talk and safety check, marking on the day, surgery under general anaesthesia, one night at the centre and aftercare with the first check-up after two weeks.
How long does a breast augmentation take?
Usually about an hour. Because the Kuzbari Centre has its own operating theatres, there is no time pressure — the operation takes as long as it needs to get the result right.
Do I have to stay overnight?
Most patients stay one night at the centre; more than 90 per cent take up this option. Nursing staff and the anaesthetist are there around the clock, followed by a ward round in the morning.
Implant or own fat — which is better?
It depends on your wishes and your anatomy. Implants suit any desired volume; own fat is an option for smaller increases if there is enough fatty tissue. Both can be combined with a lift.
Which implants are used?
Silicone gel implants from renowned manufacturers with EMA and CE marking, usually anatomically shaped and coated with polyurethane, which lowers the risk of capsular contracture.
When can I be seen in company again?
Usually a few days after the operation. Desk work is often possible after a few days; we recommend taking around a week off.
When can I exercise again?
Endurance sport after four weeks, strength training after six weeks. After six weeks almost everything is usually allowed again.
When will I see the final result?
The result is usually visible straight away. It takes up to twelve months for all swelling to go and for the result to be final.
How much does a breast augmentation cost?
From 5,300 euros, everything included. You receive the binding amount in writing after the consultation; payment in instalments over 6 to 60 months is possible.
Is the initial consultation binding?
No. It places you under no obligation, and there is no deadline by which you have to decide.
