Acne and acne scars

The sun is shining, the hair is in place and everything is ready for a wonderful day. Everything except the skin. Inflammation and spots spoil this otherwise perfect moment. But the good news is that we can treat acne and acne scars gently and effectively with our modern therapies.

The medical treatment of acne can be supported very effectively by our medical cosmeticians. Through the close exchange between your treating doctor and your medical cosmetician, the steps of the treatment are observed closely from both sides in order to recommend individually tailored care products and, if necessary, to readjust the therapy.

Increased sebum production occurs for various reasons. It rises in puberty, for example, through the production of hormones, and reaches the surface of the skin through the hair follicles.

At the point where the hair emerges at the surface, increased keratinisation occurs, which narrows the opening of the hair follicle. 

When the channel of the hair follicle is blocked as a result of excessive keratinisation on the one hand and more sebum is produced on the other, white or black accumulations of sebum form which are perceived from the outside as blackheads.

In the blackheads germs find ideal living conditions and lead to inflammation. In addition, bacteria split substances in the sebum into free fatty acids, which intensify the inflammation further.  This is visible from the outside as a spot.

In it we first determine the form and stage of the acne. Building on that, we draw up an individual treatment plan consisting of several treatment modules.
