Sinking of the soft tissues

In the course of the years, it is above all those facial soft tissues that are not firmly fixed by ligaments that slacken. The cheek fat sinks, which causes the cheeks to droop, deep nasolabial and marionette folds to form, the upper cheek region to slacken and the transition from the lower eyelid to the cheek to look hollowed out. Overall, the contours of the face increasingly look square instead of youthfully triangular or heart-shaped.

Loss of volume and altered proportions

Modern facelift techniques move sunken tissue back into its original position. The skin is not “pulled”, but adapted free of tension. The result looks soft, natural and not artificial.

Which facelift techniques are suitable for women?

SMAS plication

Suitable for moderate sinking of the facial soft tissues. It allows a natural tightening of the lower cheek and jaw region. Less suitable for repositioning the whole of the sunken cheek fat tissue.

Extended SMAS / high SMAS facelift

Allows a more effective tightening of the upper cheek region, in addition to the lower cheeks and the chin.
