Breast surgery is a good fit when your body, your plans and your expectations are in line. We cover these points in the consultation anyway — thinking them through beforehand helps you get more out of the appointment.
- You are of legal age and in good general health.
- You have a clear idea of what bothers you — and realistic expectations of the result.
- Plans for children: if you plan a child within the next one or two years, waiting is usually sensible; there should be around a year between surgery and pregnancy.

- Sport: if you train a lot and are slim, there is often less choice about implant position — we clarify this together.

From what age is breast augmentation possible?
You must be of legal age for a breast augmentation; in Austria the Ästhetik-OP Gesetz (Aesthetic Surgery Act) sets out the requirements precisely.
Should I wait until I have finished having children?
If you plan a child within the next one or two years, waiting is usually sensible. If a child is only planned in several years, a breast augmentation can well be considered.
Is breast augmentation possible at 50?
Yes. Up to a certain point age plays no role, and many women only decide on breast surgery at this age.
