What is HD body contouring?
HD body contouring is liposuction in several layers that deliberately places shadow and light: more fat is removed over the muscles and less at the transitions, so that abdominal muscles, waist, flanks or chest muscles look defined.
The classic liposuction of the 1980s reduced volume. Modern body contouring thinks in proportions: where should the body be slimmer, where should it be accentuated? Sometimes fat is transferred elsewhere for this, for example to the buttocks or hips.
The method was refined at the Kuzbari Centre by Dr. Ali Saalabian. He learned his technique from leading body-contouring surgeons and now teaches it himself in his own academy.

Who HD body contouring is suitable for
HD depends on what lies beneath the fat. Good prerequisites are a slim to normal-weight, toned body and elastic skin. With significant excess weight or a lot of loose skin, a classic liposuction or a lift makes sense first.
It all starts with marking
Before surgery Dr. Saalabian marks, while you stand, where fat is to be removed and where it stays: muscle edges, waistline, transitions. This takes longer than for a simple liposuction and is the most important step of the operation.

The process in five steps
Consultation, preparation, surgery and aftercare all take place in the same building. If you wish, surgery can usually take place just a few weeks after the consultation.
- First consultation
Analysis of the problem areas, assessment of skin and connective tissue, treatment plan and written quote.
- Pre-op talk and safety check
Surgical plan, instructions, anaesthesia consultation and blood test. The results form the basis for clearance for surgery.
- Marking and surgery
Around ten minutes of marking while standing, then surgery in our own theatre suite – for as long as it takes to get the result right.
- Going home and recovering
Usually home the same day, one night with us after larger procedures. Showering from day one, desk work after two to four days.
- Compression, check-ups, result
Compression garment for two to six weeks, exercise from two weeks, depending on the area. The final result shows after three to six months.
After HD body contouring
The first few days feel like strong muscle soreness. Because HD also works in the superficial layer, the skin needs some time to settle onto the new shape; compression and lymphatic drainage help. The definition becomes visible as the swelling goes down.

Will HD give me a six-pack?
Only if your muscles and skin allow it. HD reveals what lies beneath the fat; it does not replace training. For women it is usually about a soft accentuation of the midline and a narrow waist.

When will I see the definition?
The first contours show as the swelling goes down. The final result can be seen after three to six months.
When can I train again?
Walking is encouraged from the first day, desk work after two to four days. You can start exercising from two weeks, depending on the area.
