Rhinoplasty: our range of procedures
Nasal surgery is one of the main focal points in the treatment spectrum of the Kuzbari Centre. Responsible for it are our specialists Univ. Doz. Dr. Rafic Kuzbari, Dr. Christoph Grill and DDr. Jessica Wittmann. Intensive work on aesthetic-functional rhinoplasty, nasal reconstruction and demanding revision operations has been at the centre of our surgical practice for years.

More than 2,000 nasal operations of experience
This specialisation is essential precisely for rhinoplasty: the nose matters for breathing, it makes smelling possible and it protects us from infection. At the same time it gives our face its character. This is why form and function have to be taken into account equally in any procedure.
Nasal surgery therefore demands a great deal of the surgeon. It calls for the highest degree of precision and years of experience — after all, both aesthetics and function have to be brought into harmony in a single operation.
Functional, aesthetic, revision — or all of it together?
We plan every nose individually rather than according to a standardised procedure. And because no nose and no face resembles another, we pay particular attention to individual facial proportions, so that the change fits harmoniously into the overall picture and looks entirely natural — not operated on.
Thanks to refined surgical techniques and a differentiated approach, modern nasal surgery can do far more than change a shape. The range of nasal treatments is therefore almost as varied as the concerns our patients bring with them.
| Your concern | What is worked on | More about it |
|---|---|---|
| A hump on the nasal bridge | Bone and cartilage of the bridge, in small controlled steps. Often in a nose-bridge-preserving way. | Nasal hump correction |
| A wide or drooping nasal tip | The tip cartilages; if the tip droops mainly when smiling, a small muscle at the columella can be divided. | Nasal tip correction |
| Widely flared nostrils | The nostrils, through small incisions at their base. | Nostril correction |
| A nose that looks too large for the face | Nasal root, tip and septum, usually in combination. | Nose reduction |
| A nose that no longer lets you breathe freely | Septum, turbinates and nasal valves — the three narrow points of the airway. | Functional rhinoplasty |

Guide values for a rhinoplasty at the Kuzbari Centre. What applies to you depends on the scope of your procedure and is established after the examination.
How we work technically
A great deal is said about the results of rhinoplasty and very little about the way there. Yet it is precisely the technique that decides whether a result still looks the same after ten years as it did after ten months. Six things shape our work on the nose.
The nasal bridge stays where it is
We work a great deal with the modern nose-bridge-preserving technique, known as dorsal preservation, as well as with hybrid techniques — not exclusively with the traditional structural septorhinoplasty. The natural nasal bridge is preserved instead of being removed and rebuilt.
This has three advantages: the result looks particularly natural, it is stable in the long term, and the risk of later irregularities on the nasal bridge is reduced — which matters above all with thin skin, because there every tiny edge becomes visible. Certain deviations also recur less often. The nose-bridge-preserving technique is not generally superior, but for many findings it is the gentler choice.
The nasal tip is supported, not just shaped
We stabilise the nasal tip using modern cartilage-supported techniques. This considerably reduces the risk of drooping of the nasal tip over the years.
Ultrasound works on the bone
If the bony part of the nose has to be altered, the piezotome is used — an ultrasound instrument that cuts and smooths bone while leaving soft tissue, mucous membrane and blood vessels untouched. For patients this means more precise work on the bone and, as a rule, fewer bruises and less swelling in the days afterwards. Honest classification matters to us: the piezotome is not a rhinoplasty method in its own right and does not automatically make a nasal operation better. It is a tool for one step. We use it as standard in every nasal operation.
The operating time follows the findings
A rhinoplasty here takes one to four hours. That range is deliberate: we operate in our own operating theatres and therefore without time pressure — for as long as it takes for every detail to be right. How long a procedure takes is decided by the findings, not by the appointment schedule.
Thick skin and ethnic nasal shapes
Noses with thick skin, a broad bony base, a low bridge or a tip with little definition call for a different strategy from the classic reduction. Definition here does not come from removing volume, but from a stable cartilage framework carrying the tip against the soft tissue — building up rather than taking down, together with careful handling of the soft-tissue envelope. To that end, Dr. Christoph Grill and DDr. Jessica Wittmann spent a fellowship in Brazil in 2026 working intensively with new and modern techniques of rhinoplasty. The character of the nose is preserved in the process; a standard nose is not the goal.
Measured, not estimated
During her nasal operations DDr. Jessica Wittmann works with the projectometer — a sterile measuring instrument with a millimetre scale and a protractor that records the projection of the nasal tip and the height of the bridge. The baseline value is taken before the first step, then measured again after every step and compared with the plan from the 3D simulation. This makes it possible to check in theatre whether the bridge has been reduced by the planned amount and the tip raised accordingly.

Rhinoplasty with 3D simulation: seeing the result in advance
Using modern 3D technology the desired shape of the nose can be viewed in advance. Individual surgical steps are demonstrated visually. In this way we can respond to your wishes and work out a realistic treatment goal together with you.
Our 3D simulation shows your future nose not only in profile but also from the front and from below. You therefore see your possible result from exactly the angles from which others see you every day — and before the operation we talk about the same picture.
Since the human face is not a piece of wood to be carved into shape, the result naturally does not turn out a thousand per cent the way the computer simulation does.
We really do take our time: the initial consultation
A nasal operation has to run precisely, and that begins long before the day of surgery. This is why we take over an hour for you as early as the initial consultation. A great deal happens in that hour — and if you are interested in a rhinoplasty, you should not miss it.
- We get to know one another.
- We listen to you.
- We answer all your questions.
- We examine the nose from the outside and from the inside and check nasal breathing.
- Using our Vectra 3D technology we produce a three-dimensional simulation of your current nose and your possible future nose.
- We show you before-and-after photographs of comparable noses that have already been operated on.
- We explain in detail how your nasal operation can proceed.
- We give you the time you need. We will never try to push anyone into an operation.

Nasal packing is not necessary here
Nasal packing has a very bad reputation — deservedly? And if so, is it needed at all? Many patients who have already had a nasal operation with packing know that removing it can be very painful. It is often reported that removing the packing hurt more than the entire operation. This video explains what lies behind that and what the alternatives are.
The greatest possible safety
In medicine, the greatest possible safety always arises when three factors come together: the quality of the medical team, modern technology and time for the patient. The Kuzbari Centre for Aesthetic Medicine invests deliberately in all three.
We have three modern operating theatres equipped for aesthetic procedures. Our team works exclusively in aesthetic medicine. As a licensed hospital we are inspected several times a year by independent bodies; our own hygiene team and a quality management team work continuously on our standards. Read more

A sought-after voice in plastic surgery
Univ. Doz. Dr. Rafic Kuzbari, Dr. Christoph Grill and DDr. Jessica Wittmann appear regularly, together with other specialists of the Kuzbari Centre for Aesthetic Medicine, in leading Austrian newspapers, magazines, television and radio.

Awarded by real patients
The DocFinder Patients’ Choice Award is based on the reviews of real patients. The Kuzbari Centre has been awarded eleven times in a row, 38 times in total.
What matters more to us than the number above is what the reviews say: how much time someone took, whether questions were answered and whether the result matches what was discussed beforehand.
Results
The results achieved at the Kuzbari Centre after rhinoplasty speak for themselves. Before-and-after photographs, however, only ever show what was possible with one particular starting point — not what is possible for you. That requires an examination.

To the profileCosts and payment by instalments
The price depends on the effort involved. A first operation is the simpler case. A nose that has already been operated on costs more: scars, altered tissue and missing cartilage make the work more demanding, and a graft from the ear or rib is often necessary.

An initial consultation with three-dimensional simulation, a technique that suits your nose, and an operating time determined by the findings — this effort is the reason why a rhinoplasty has its price here. It is also the reason why the result is meant to last: a lifetime, not a few years.
The costs can be spread over up to five years through Kuzbari Finance, at an annual percentage rate of 9.99 %.
Frequently asked questions about rhinoplasty
What is meant by a rhinoplasty?
A rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that improves the outer shape of the nose, its proportions within the face and — where necessary — the function of the nose as well. It can be about aesthetic wishes such as a more harmonious shape, but also about medical aspects such as restricted nasal breathing. At the Kuzbari Centre aesthetic and functional aspects are always considered together, in order to achieve a natural and long-term stable result.
What speaks for a rhinoplasty at the Kuzbari Centre?
Consultation, operation, aftercare and infrastructure all take place entirely under one roof here. You benefit from years of experience in nasal surgery, modern surgical technique, precise planning with 3D simulation and high medical and hygienic standards. The aim is always a result that is aesthetically convincing and functionally sensible.
Where is the rhinoplasty carried out?
The rhinoplasty takes place in the Kuzbari Centre's own operating theatres. These are equipped for plastic and aesthetic procedures and meet high safety and hygiene standards. For patients that means short distances, well-rehearsed processes and an operating time determined by the findings.
What are the advantages of everything taking place under one roof?
Because consultation, operation, inpatient care and aftercare all take place in one location, there are no losses at interfaces, no external journeys and no changing contacts. All the specialties involved work closely together — that makes for precision and a calmer experience of treatment.
How does the personal consultation proceed?
In a detailed first appointment the specialists of the Kuzbari Centre take over an hour for your wishes, expectations and medical preconditions. The nose is examined from the outside and from the inside, functional aspects are taken into account and possible results are discussed realistically.
What part does the 3D simulation play before the operation?
Our 3D simulation shows your future nose not only in profile but also from the front and from below. You therefore see your possible result from exactly the angles from which others see you every day — and before the operation we talk about the same picture. Particular care is taken not to make unrealistic promises.
How long does a rhinoplasty take and which methods are used?
A rhinoplasty here takes one to four hours. That range is deliberate: we operate in our own operating theatres and therefore without time pressure — for as long as it takes for every detail to be right. Open and closed techniques are used, along with the nose-bridge-preserving technique, hybrid techniques and cartilage-supported stabilisation of the tip; the piezotome works on the bone as standard.
What is the nose-bridge-preserving technique?
With the nose-bridge-preserving technique, known as dorsal preservation, the natural nasal bridge is preserved instead of being removed and rebuilt. We work a great deal with this modern technique as well as with hybrid techniques, not exclusively with the traditional structural septorhinoplasty. The result looks particularly natural, it is stable in the long term, and the risk of later irregularities on the nasal bridge is reduced.
Is a rhinoplasty painful?
The procedure is carried out under general anaesthesia, so you feel no pain during the operation. Afterwards the discomfort is usually easy to control. Most patients report a feeling of pressure or tension rather than severe pain.
Do I need nasal packing?
No. At the Kuzbari Centre nasal packing is not necessary. After the operation you wear a nasal splint or a nasal plaster for around ten days.
How long does healing take after a rhinoplasty?
In the first days there is swelling and possibly slight bruising. Most people are fit for work after three to seven days and fit to socialise after one to three weeks. The final result develops gradually over six to twelve months. Aftercare at the Kuzbari Centre accompanies this process closely.
Can a rhinoplasty also improve nasal breathing?
Yes, very frequently functional problems are treated during a rhinoplasty as well — a deviated septum or narrowed nasal passages, for instance. At the Kuzbari Centre great importance is placed on not considering aesthetics and function separately.
Who is a rhinoplasty suitable for?
It is suitable for people whose nasal growth is complete and who wish for a more harmonious shape of the nose or a functional improvement. Realistic expectations and good general health are important. Whether and which form of rhinoplasty makes sense is clarified in the personal consultation.
Are there alternatives to surgical rhinoplasty?
In selected cases minimal aesthetic corrections can be made with fillers, for instance to even out small unevennesses visually. These non-surgical nose corrections are limited in time, however, and are not suitable for functional problems. In the consultation we discuss honestly which method makes sense — and which does not.
How much does a rhinoplasty cost?
A first operation starts at 9,350 euros, everything included. For a previously operated nose the price is from 9,950 euros, from 10,900 euros or from 11,900 euros, depending on complexity. A precise assessment is only possible after the personal examination; you then receive a written cost estimate with no hidden extras.
Are corrections after previous operations possible?
Yes. Four in ten nasal operations at the Kuzbari Centre are revision rhinoplasties on a nose that has already been operated on. Such procedures call for particular experience: the tissue is scarred, cartilage is sometimes missing, and the starting point is different for every patient. We deliberately take on such cases.
Why is experience especially important in rhinoplasty?
The nose is one of the central and functionally most delicate elements of the face. Small changes have large effects on shape and breathing. At the Kuzbari Centre patients benefit from a high degree of specialisation, years of experience and an understanding of the fine balance between form, function and facial harmony.
