Apart from my dressings, which of course took some getting used to, waking up was like waking from a restful sleep. Thank goodness I had no pain at all either, and in my room I was attentively looked after by the nursing staff.
After discharge too I had no pain at all and the swelling went down in line with Dr. Kuzbari’s predictions. The scars also faded almost completely and within a short time I could put my hair up or tie it back again without having to worry that the scars would show.
I am overjoyed with my ‘serviced’ face and the people around me also think I look good. I have really gained in joy of life and I am glad about my decision. My appearance and my outlook on life are now the same age again!

Tightening on two levels.
The first lifting secret at the Kuzbari Centre for Aesthetic Medicine is tightening on two levels. Dr. Kuzbari explains how it works: ‘I work both on the superficial level of the skin and in the deeper level, where the connective tissue and muscles lie. The trick is to tighten the superficial level less than the deeper level, in order to achieve a natural result and not to look lifted.’ The direction of the tightening is essential too. ‘If everything is tightened in the same direction, the facial expression looks distorted’, says Rafic Kuzbari.
More volume.
‘Many people believe that we age primarily because of gravity’, says Dr. Kuzbari of secret number two. ‘That is only partly correct, however. The aesthetically decisive factor is the loss of volume in the face caused by the reduction of bone substance and connective tissue, which makes us look tired and hollow as we get older.’ For this reason, with modern lifts the missing volume is ideally replaced at the right places by transferring autologous fat. When that happens, we speak of a volumetric lift.
