The core idea of the nanofat method is to transplant predominantly stem cells into the surface of the skin in order to improve the quality of the skin in a targeted way.

For this purpose the suctioned fatty tissue is - in contrast to the classic Autologous fat treatment - first heavily filtered. Most of the mature fat cells which provide the volume in classic microfat transfer are lost in this process. ‘In return it is above all the small and resilient fat stem cells that survive: the so-called nanofat’, describes Dr. Kuzbari. It is injected into the surface of the skin with small needles to make the surface of the skin appear plumper and younger.

The first experiences with nanofat transplantation technology are promising. The skin looks healthier and plumper. Above all, the appearance of the skin on the neck, on the décolletage or of the fine lines on the back of the hand can be improved with it. Nanofat transplantation also gives further grounds for hope to all those who suffer from stretch marks on the skin (so-called pregnancy stripes). There is still a lack of sufficient experience, but it is assumed that stretch marks, which look like scars under the microscope, can be improved by the stem cells.
