What breast augmentation can change
Breast augmentation (augmentation mammaplasty) gives the breast more volume and a new shape with a silicone implant. It is performed under general anaesthetic, takes around one to two hours and requires one night in the clinic.
Most patients do not simply want larger breasts but more beautiful ones: more fullness at the top, a harmonious transition to the chest, breasts that sit closer together, or the correction of small differences between the sides. What counts is less the volume in millilitres than the shape, width and projection of the implant – and the experience of how your tissue will respond.
You see the result before you decide
At the first consultation we measure your breasts, check how elastic the tissue is and show you before-and-after cases with a similar starting point. Sizer implants in the bra and the 3D and virtual reality simulation show how different sizes look on your body.

Desk work is usually possible after around a week. Endurance sport after about four weeks, strength training after about six.
Which implant? Shape, size, position and coating
Four things decide whether the result looks natural: the shape (round or anatomical), the size, the position (above or below the pectoral muscle) and the surface of the implant. Around 200 implant sizes between 50 and over 1,000 ml are available at the Kuzbari Centre; 180 to 200 ml correspond roughly to one cup size.
We generally use implants with a polyurethane coating. A large study by the US Food and Drug Administration covering over 40,000 patients found that around one woman in five with conventional implants developed capsular contracture; with polyurethane coating the risk falls to about 2 %. The procedure, step by step
From booking to the final result usually takes a few weeks. All appointments take place at the Kuzbari Centre. In detail: how your breast surgery works.

Conversation, measurements, photos, sizer implants, 3D simulation and a written quotation.
- Safety check
Meeting with the anaesthetist, blood test, final questions. The implants are ordered.
- The operation
Your surgeon marks the breasts while you stand; the operation takes around one to two hours.
- Ward round and going home
Follow-up talk, implant passport, support bra. You leave the clinic in the morning with your surgeon’s mobile number.
- Healing and check-ups
All check-ups are included. The last residual swelling subsides after six to twelve months.

Frequently asked questions about breast augmentation
How long does breast augmentation take?
The operation itself takes around one to two hours under general anaesthetic in one of the Kuzbari Centre’s own operating theatres. You stay one night and go home the next morning.
Is breast augmentation painful?
You feel nothing during the operation. Afterwards the breasts feel like strong muscle soreness, especially when the implant lies beneath the pectoral muscle. While you lie still it hardly hurts; you go home with painkillers and precise instructions.
When can I go out and work again?
Most patients feel ready to be seen in public after about two days. Desk work is possible after around a week; physically demanding work only some weeks later.
When can I exercise again?
Endurance sport after about four weeks, strength training after about six weeks. You wear the support bra day and night for two weeks, then at night for a further week.
When will I see the final result?
You see the new shape immediately, and a few weeks after surgery the breasts already look very natural. It takes six to twelve months until the last residual swelling has gone.
Which implants do you use?
CE-marked silicone gel implants from renowned manufacturers, usually with a polyurethane coating. This coating markedly lowers the risk of capsular contracture and keeps the implant in position. Whether round or anatomical is decided together after the measurements.
Is the implant placed above or below the muscle?
We usually recommend placement beneath the pectoral muscle. For athletic women with enough tissue of their own and no wish for a very large implant, placement between gland and muscle may be the better choice. There is no one-size-fits-all.
Can I breastfeed after augmentation?
Yes. The implant lies behind the gland or behind the pectoral muscle, so the ability to breastfeed is usually preserved. About a year should pass between surgery and pregnancy.
How much does breast augmentation cost in Vienna?
