What are asymmetric breasts?
With asymmetric breasts, the two breasts differ clearly in size, shape or position. The differences can be congenital or become more pronounced through pregnancy, breastfeeding, hormonal changes or weight loss.
Perfectly symmetrical breasts do not exist. What matters is whether the asymmetry is visible at first glance and whether it bothers you.

How breasts are equalised
We balance different sizes with differently sized implants, with fat transfer or by removing tissue from the larger side. Different shapes are made symmetrical by lifting, unfolding or reshaping the gland, different heights usually by lowering the higher breast.

Frequently asked questions about asymmetric breasts
When does an asymmetry need treatment?
Almost every woman has slight differences. Correction makes sense when the asymmetry is visible at first glance and you find it bothersome.
How are breasts of different sizes equalised?
With differently sized implants, with fat transfer to the smaller breast or by reducing the larger side – often combined with a lift.
Do I have to go larger?
No. Usually one side is preferred, and the task is to match the other to it. Whether volume is added or removed is decided together with your surgeon.
How long does the procedure take?
Depending on the method around two to three hours under general anaesthetic, with one night in the clinic.
How much does equalisation cost?
As a breast correction from €6,000, including surgery, anaesthesia, the night in the clinic and all check-ups.
When can I return to work?
Desk work after a few days; we recommend taking about a week off.
When can I exercise again?
Endurance sport after about four weeks, strength training after about six weeks.
How long do I wear the support bra?
Two weeks day and night, then at night for a further week.
When will I see the final result?
The new shape is usually visible straight away. It takes up to twelve months for all swelling to subside.
