An overproduction of sebum can block our pores and brings blackheads and small inflammations. The aim of this treatment is to combat the inflammation-causing bacteria and to reduce the size and the production volume of the sebaceous glands. And that with the most modern flashlight technology.
An increased production of sebum plays an essential part in the development of acne. As long as this sebum can flow away unhindered, the skin merely appears shiny. If the accumulated mass of sebum is compressed by increased sebum production, the sebum produced no longer reaches the skin's surface, and - mild acne - the so-called blackheads develop. The accumulated sebum thereby forms a breeding ground for bacteria (Staphylococcus epidermidis and Propionibacterium acnes) and leads to a rapid multiplication of the bacteria and, along with it, to an inflammation of the affected area of skin.
This is how the treatment proceeds
Cleansing
At the beginning the skin is professionally cleansed and degreased so that the flashlight can penetrate optimally into the intended layers of skin.
Ultrasound gel
In the 2nd step a contact gel is applied to the skin, on the one hand in order to cool the skin and on the other in order to be able to transmit the energy of the IPL flashlight technology.
IPL
Short, safe pulses of an intensely pulsed light are delivered to the skin. The light reduces sebum production. The oily skin normalises and inflammations decrease. The skin appearance improves with every treatment.
How it works
The modern IPL (Intensed-Pulsed-Light) treatment thereby ensures a long-lasting improvement of the skin appearance, in particular with inflammations and redness. It also brings visible success where other therapies have not been effective so far. The skin appearance is refined with every treatment. We therefore recommend several treatments - tailored to your skin problem. A typical course of the therapy comprises four treatments, which should be about 3 weeks apart.
Patient experience: This treatment gets rid of acne scars
«I would warmly recommend the treatment to anyone who wants to get rid of annoying memories of stupid acne, would like to achieve a slight anti-ageing effect and wishes for healthy, clear skin.»
