What does the LIPO-Score measure?
The LIPO-Score estimates the quality of your connective tissue and your starting position — the two factors that decide how well the skin settles onto the new shape after liposuction.
Liposuction removes fat, not skin. Whether the result looks smooth and firm therefore depends on how elastic the skin above it is. Good connective tissue contracts after the procedure; with weak connective tissue additional skin tightening may be needed.
The score combines this assessment with information on weight, lifestyle and the number of your problem areas. This produces a rough indication of whether body-contouring liposuction has good prospects in your case.
From self-test to examination
The LIPO-Score is a starting point, not a diagnosis. At the first consultation Dr. Ali Saalabian or Dr. Shawqi Arafat assess skin, fat distribution and muscles by hand and while you stand. Only then is it clear which method suits you.

The process in five steps
Consultation, preparation, surgery and aftercare all take place in the same building. If you wish, surgery can usually take place just a few weeks after the consultation.
- First consultation
Analysis of the problem areas, assessment of skin and connective tissue, treatment plan and written quote.
- Pre-op talk and safety check
Surgical plan, instructions, anaesthesia consultation and blood test. The results form the basis for clearance for surgery.
- Marking and surgery
Around ten minutes of marking while standing, then surgery in our own theatre suite – for as long as it takes to get the result right.
- Going home and recovering
Usually home the same day, one night with us after larger procedures. Showering from day one, desk work after two to four days.
- Compression, check-ups, result
Compression garment for two to six weeks, exercise from two weeks, depending on the area. The final result shows after three to six months.

What is the LIPO-Score?
A self-test by the Kuzbari Centre with eight questions. It estimates how well your connective tissue and your starting position suit body-contouring liposuction.
Does the LIPO-Score replace a consultation?
No. It does not replace a clinical examination by a specialist and only gives a first orientation. The decision is made after the examination at the first consultation.
How long does the test take?
Around two minutes. The result appears immediately below the form.
What does a low score mean?
Usually that the skin has little elasticity or that your weight is not yet stable. A lift or skin tightening with Renuvion may then be the better route, or it makes sense to lose weight before surgery.
Why is connective tissue so important?
Because liposuction removes fat but no skin. Whether the skin then settles smoothly depends on its elasticity.
Am I too old for liposuction?
No particular age rules out liposuction. Skin elasticity decreases over the years; how good it is in your case we assess during the examination.
