Frequently asked questions from the videos
Who speaks in the videos?
DDr Jessica Wittmann, specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery, and Dr Christoph Grill, specialist in plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. Both operate on eyelids at the Kuzbari Centre.
When does an upper eyelid correction make sense?
When the excess skin bothers you day to day or restricts your field of vision and is not going to improve on its own. There is no fixed age: the findings decide. In the video DDr Jessica Wittmann explains what she looks at.
How much does it hurt after the operation?
Minor. You are given painkillers for the days afterwards; most people need them only on the day of surgery.
Local anaesthesia or twilight sedation?
Eyelid surgery works well under local anaesthesia; for the correction of a drooping lid that is even an advantage. Twilight sedation is available on request as an additional module costing €390 to €1,410 depending on the extent.
When am I back to normal life?
Medically most people are fit for desk work again after three days. Ready to be seen after one to three weeks, sport after two to three weeks.
Hooded-lid correction or brow lift?
That depends on whether the lid skin or the descended brow is weighing the lid down. A comparison with a photograph from your twenties gives a first indication; only the examination can classify it reliably.
Is there a brow lift without a scar?
The incisions lie at the hairline or in natural creases, so that visible scars are largely avoided. No operation works entirely without a scar; in the video DDr Jessica Wittmann explains where the limit lies.
Will I look different after an upper eyelid lift?
The aim is expressly that you look fresher and not different. That is why we ask for photographs from your youth: they make it possible to rejuvenate without changing the type.
What does eyelid surgery at the Kuzbari Centre cost?
Upper and lower eyelid lifts each from €2,600, a brow lift the same, the combination from €4,400. The figure covers every appointment before, during and after the operation.
Do the videos replace a consultation?
No. They answer the most common questions, but what is possible in your case only becomes clear when your lid region is examined in a personal consultation.
