Breast augmentation for tubular breasts
Tubular breasts, also called tuberous breasts, are a congenital shape variation: narrow, elongated, empty at the bottom. Many women have been troubled by them since puberty. Correction unfolds the gland and reshapes the breast – usually together with an implant.

What are tubular breasts?
Tubular breasts did not develop and unfold properly during puberty. Typical features are a narrow base, an elongated or tube-like shape, missing volume in the lower poles, an enlarged areola and often a marked asymmetry.

How tubular breasts are reshaped
The main focus is on unfolding the gland: the tissue is released and reshaped, and the base widened. An implant is usually added for the desired volume; for a subtle wish, fat can be distributed precisely within the breast. Enlarged areolae are adjusted in the same procedure.
- Unfolding the gland
The narrow base is widened and the breast becomes rounder.

Implant or fat transfer, tailored to your wish.
- Areola

Frequently asked questions about tubular breasts
What are tubular breasts?
A congenital shape variation in which the breast did not unfold properly during puberty: a narrow base, a tube-like shape, missing volume in the lower pole, often an enlarged areola and differences between the sides.
How are tubular breasts corrected?
The gland is unfolded and the breast base widened. An implant is usually added for volume or, for a subtle wish, precisely distributed fat; enlarged areolae are corrected at the same time.
How long does the operation take?
Around two to three hours under general anaesthetic; you stay one night in the clinic.
Will I be in pain afterwards?
Mild to moderate, similar to strong muscle soreness. You receive painkillers with precise instructions.
How much does tubular breast correction cost?
As a breast correction from €5,900, including surgery, anaesthesia, the night in the clinic and all check-ups.
When can I return to work?
Desk work after a few days; we recommend taking about a week off.
When can I exercise again?
Endurance sport after about four weeks, strength training after about six weeks.
How long do I wear the support bra?
Two weeks day and night, then at night for a further week.
When will I see the final result?
The new shape is usually visible straight away. It takes up to twelve months for all swelling to subside.
