Where do my dark circles come from?
There is more than one reason why they appear. Many of us feel uncomfortable and want to look fresh and rested again without make-up at last - we are talking about dark circles and shadows. What can be done about them?

A bad night's sleep and the next day the result in the mirror: dark circles under the eyes. The blood is lower in oxygen and therefore appears darker, and this is particularly noticeable beneath the thin skin around the eyes.
But it is not only a lack of sleep that leads to these unwelcome circles; here are the most common reasons for a tired look:
- Dehydration: In order to have enough firmness, our cells need water. If the supply is insufficient, the skin looks slack and lacks elasticity.
- Alcohol and nicotine: These substances can slow the blood flow and, as described above, visually intensify the dark shadows.
- Sun: The sun and rubbing the eye area can lead to pigmentation disorders. So put on sunglasses and do not overstrain your eyes.
- Genetics: Unfortunately something over which we have little influence. If the skin is particularly thin, if our eye area is dry or if wrinkles run beneath our eyes, we can achieve little even with the best creams, enough water and sleep. Here, however, there is a wide range of aesthetic treatments that can help.
After a detailed analysis of the cause of the unwanted circles, our specialists recommend the following alternatives for lasting results:
- Lower eyelid lift
- CO2 laser treatment
- Autologous fat transfer
- Hyaluronic acid treatment
- Wrinkle treatment
This treatment can be carried out particularly quickly and gently: with the natural product Hyaluronic acid, which is found in the intercellular walls of the body and, thanks to its enormous capacity to store water, gives the skin volume and suppleness, it is possible not only to treat wrinkles by injection, but also to treat dark circles. Ketch'em Bunnies, Katharina Schmalzl, tested the treatment with Dr. Saalabian. Her report: Kecht'em Bunnies blog: Dark Circles be gone. Account of her experience.
But alongside hyaluronic acid, treatments with Wrinkle treatment and autologous fat as a filler, the CO2 laser or also a lower eyelid lift are offered against the dark shadows under the eyes.
