Away with the dark circles! Part 2
Tired of cucumber slices and concealer? In the second part of the dark circles special we present further methods for tackling the unloved blue rings under the eyes.

In the first part we reported on how dark circles arise and explained the following treatments at the Kuzbari Centre:
the Lower eyelid lift as well as the CO2 laser treatment.
Today our specialists present the following options for removing dark circles:
· Autologous fat transfer
· Hyaluronic acid treatment
· Wrinkle treatment
Univ. Doz. Dr. Rafic Kuzbari is a leading authority in the field of eyelid surgery, and dermatologist Mag. Dr. Elke Janig is a specialist in non-invasive procedures in the eye area.
Autologous fat transfer:
This treatment of dark circles can perfectly be combined with other procedures:
In it, living fat cells from the body itself are taken, mostly from unwanted places such as the abdomen, bottom or thighs. This is done under local anaesthetic and is pain-free.
They are then processed so that they can be used again at the desired sunken or wrinkled place. In this way, in addition to sunken cheeks, the lower eyelid can also be injected with the finest needles and thus plumped up.
Dr. Kuzbari recommends this type of treatment above all where the tissue is very thin.
Hyaluronic acid:
Das natural product hyaluronic acid is found in the spaces between the cells of the body and gives the skin volume and suppleness. Thanks to its enormous water-storing capacity, hyaluronic acid is perfectly suited to Injectable wrinkle treatment. It supports collagen and elastic fibres and can even neutralise free radicals.
‘When treating dark circles, however, only a little hyaluronic acid should be used, since otherwise the result looks unnaturally ‘inflated’’, says Dr. Elke Janig.
Wrinkle treatment:
These too can be used to treat the unwanted circles. Injected ‘carefully’ in small amounts into the lower eyelid, it noticeably refreshes the eye area and additionally increases the tension in the eye muscles. Even eyesight is improved by this.
For further questions about our treatments our specialists are also happy to be available in person for a detailed consultation. An appointment can be arranged via the contact form on the website or by telephone.
