Beautyfact of the month: when you lose weight the cellulite disappears too
A slim body also means beautiful, firm skin? Unfortunately not always. We reveal what cellulite depends on and which are the most effective means of counteracting it.

A problem that almost all women over 20 struggle with to a greater or lesser degree: cellulite. “Orange-peel skin”, as it is also commonly called because the dimples are reminiscent of the peel of citrus fruit, is one of the most common problem areas in women. With excess weight in particular the dimples are very visible, since the enlarged fat cells clearly affect the structure of the skin and show through on the surface.
Many people therefore believe that losing weight also makes the cellulite disappear. Unfortunately this is not always the case; a sudden loss of weight often even has a negative effect. Because a major factor influencing how pronounced cellulite is, is the connective tissue. And this suffers particularly from rapid and radical fluctuations in weight.
This is what our expert Dr. Ali Saalabian says
"Unfortunately there is still no miracle treatment for cellulite", explains the expert in body contouring. "In general it is always better to remove fat slowly and gently in order to achieve good results. That way the body is not overtaxed and the skin and the connective tissue cope better with the change. Two major influencing factors that make up the lifestyle are exercise and diet. Anyone who does not work on those as well will not achieve the results they want. I can, however, support the patient with a Liposuction or CoolSculpting treatment."
The solution
The best way is therefore a combination of reducing the fat cells, strengthening the connective tissue and building muscle in the affected places.
