Why do my breasts become smaller when I lose weight?
An unwanted side effect of a diet is often breasts that become smaller. Not infrequently, patients come to the Kuzbari Centre after successfully losing weight because they long for the breast they had before the weight loss. So do you really have to choose between a slim figure and a beautiful breast?

The breast and fluctuations in weight
The female breast is very susceptible to hormonal changes or fluctuations in weight. As it consists largely of fatty tissue, the breast also becomes smaller when weight is lost. For unfortunately we cannot influence where we lose weight. To shape the body, we can build up muscle – on the stomach or the bottom, for example. The breast, by contrast, we cannot influence directly.
It is therefore clear that with a marked loss of weight the breasts also become visibly smaller. That is due quite simply to the falling proportion of body fat. Through this physical change, not only the size but also the shape of the breasts can alter. They may no longer look as plump as they did before.
Breast augmentation after weight loss
When patients long for a plump, beautiful breast again, they often think of breast augmentation with an implant. In this way the lost volume can be restored and the patient regains a feminine curve without having to put on weight for it.
At the Kuzbari Centre our doctors will be glad to advise you on how we can put your wishes and ideas into practice together. So that you can soon feel comfortable in your own body again!
