Hyaluronic acid: what do I need to bear in mind after a filler treatment?
Fillers have become popular, effective options for facial rejuvenation without surgery. In only 15-30 minutes one's appearance can be rejuvenated by years. The immediately visible results, without downtime, are becoming attractive to more and more patients.

Hyaluronic acid treatment: what do I have to observe afterwards?
After the treatment one should remain in an upright position for 3 to 4 hours and avoid friction or pressure on the treated area. This prevents the hyaluronic acid from migrating to other areas.
Some patients like to sleep on their back on the first night after the treatment. On the first night after your treatment, sleep with your head raised (supported with an additional pillow) in order to reduce or even avoid swelling.
In this way one also makes sure that the newly injected filler stays in place!
Sport after a filler treatment?
Most patients can resume training immediately after a treatment with filler. This includes activities such as running and cardio training, weight training and resistance exercises. In the consultation we can discuss questions about your training programme, and when you can resume it, in detail.
Heat and sun – what you need to know
Although we recommend that patients always use sun protection outdoors anyway, it is unlikely that direct sunlight will affect the result of your filler treatment. Nevertheless you should avoid heat or a visit to the sauna during the first days after the treatment.
