Diet vs. training vs. aesthetic medicine
It is no longer a secret that a healthy way of life with a balanced diet, enough exercise and enough sleep is the key to a beautiful and slim body. But sometimes these measures are simply not enough.

If one is guided by the following three pillars of a healthy way of life, one has already created a good precondition for feeling thoroughly comfortable in one's body:
• Regular meals with a daily ration of fruit and vegetables, long-chain carbohydrates rich in fibre in combination with high-quality proteins keep us full and give energy without our falling prey to the widely known ravenous hunger.
• Moderate sessions of sport, which should be a combination of endurance and strength or balance exercises for the deeper-lying muscle groups.
• And last but not least, avoid addictive substances such as nicotine, alcohol and caffeine as far as possible and now and then undertake a detox or fasting course in order to cleanse and relieve the organism.
But a healthy way of life is not enough for everyone to stay slim and vital. There are a wide variety of metabolic disorders against which neither green smoothies nor hours of sport help – one still does not lose weight, on the contrary, sometimes one even puts it on!
The best-known conditions here are an underactive thyroid as well as lipoedema, an accumulation of fatty tissue, above all on the thighs (saddlebags) and hips.
With Dr. Ali Saalabian the Kuzbari Centre has had, since the beginning of the year, not only a new member of the existing medical team but also a new expert when it comes to a slim and shapely body – with his help nothing stands in the way of a slim ‘start to spring’ even in difficult cases!
Cool Sculpting – the lunch break method
A non-invasive procedure from the USA in which the fat cells are literally frozen away by means of cryolipolysis. ‘This is a very effective lunch break treatment and can achieve a clearly noticeable slimming effect on the most varied problem areas such as the abdomen, the legs, the bottom and most recently even areas on the face (with a double chin)’, says Dr. Saalabian, ‘and all without side effects and downtime.’
Liposuction – a proven method, a lasting result
With stubborn local fat deposits Dr. Saalabian advises a surgical procedure, a liposuction – but only with good health and when not too overweight. ‘In some cases, however, we recommend postponing a liposuction until the patient has lost weight or until existing illnesses have been treated. It is important here that we coordinate with GPs or internists, recommend further steps and optimise the state of health for the procedure.’ Sometimes Dr. Saalabian also has to advise against liposuction, for instance when the elasticity of the skin is not sufficient.
Body lift – the fine tuning
With a body lift, excess, slack tissue is removed and the skin is tightened. It is usually carried out in combination with a liposuction in order to improve the contours of the body. On the abdomen in particular it makes sense to tighten the abdominal muscles at the same time in order to emphasise the silhouette of the body. Precisely after pregnancies many women wish to have a slim waist and a firm abdomen back again. As a reconstructive surgeon Dr. Saalabian has great experience in restoring the muscles of the abdominal wall. He has developed new operating methods for treating large abdominal wall hernias and is regarded as one of the European specialists in this field.
Safety, medical quality and state-of-the-art facilities
For all its procedures the Kuzbari Centre offers the highest possible safety through the excellent quality of the medical team, the most modern technologies and time for patients. ‘With almost all outpatient liposuctions we make use of our in-house operating theatre’, says Dr. Saalabian proudly of his workplace, which sets new standards in hygiene throughout Austria.
For very personal questions on the subject of liposuction Dr. Saalabian has reserved part of his time exclusively for consultations. An appointment can be arranged quite simply on +43 1 358 28 02 or through the contact form.
