Anti-ageing for the ears
There are places on the body where you would not suspect any signs of ageing - alongside the neck, the hands and the knees, the marks of time do not stop at the ears either.

The ears grow throughout life and become larger with age; in addition, owing to the loss of collagen and elastin in the tissue, the earlobes begin to droop. ‘As a result the ears look larger overall, because the harmonious relationship between the length of the earlobe and the overall length of the ear is lost’, Dr. Rafic Kuzbari explains this curious sign of ageing. In addition the volume decreases and fine lines can be seen on the ears.
Dr. Kuzbari is an expert when it comes to anti-ageing methods in the face – but he is also particularly experienced in treating parts of the body that are only noticed secondarily, yet are extremely important for a coherent youthful overall impression. At the Kuzbari Centre for Aesthetic Medicine he offers a wide variety of treatment options for giving the ears back their youthful ‘appearance’.
Surgical reduction of the ears
An age-related enlargement of the earlobes, or drooping earlobes that look too large, can be corrected by a surgical reduction; usually only a very inconspicuous small scar remains on the earlobe. This procedure is often carried out together with a facelift. In this way a complete, coherent rejuvenating effect for the facial area can be achieved at the same time. Price of the treatment: approx. 2000 euros.
Fillers and autologous fat for the earlobes
With age the tissue loses elasticity because collagen formation decreases. On the earlobes too, which actually consist only of fatty tissue, this leads to a loss of volume and a slackening of the tissue. Here Dr. Kuzbari recommends volume augmentation with hyaluronic acid (filler) or the transfer of the body's own fatty tissue. Price of the treatment: approx. 400 euros.
Hyaluronic acid for fine lines on the earlobes
From around the age of 60 the loss of elasticity in the tissue also causes small crinkle lines to form on the ears. Here too the volume of the earlobes can be filled with hyaluronic acid (filler) so that they look plump and youthful again. Price of the treatment: approx. 400 euros
Neck lift for distorted ears
Distorted or attached earlobes are a change in the shape of the ears that can arise from imprecisely performed facelifts. Earlobes that were free-standing before the operation become attached to the cheek. This change in the type of earlobe bothers many patients. After imprecisely performed facelifts the earlobes can also be pulled downwards, giving the visual impression of ‘elf ears’. According to Dr. Kuzbari, a surgical correction can be very demanding depending on the extent of the problem, and may even require a complete second neck lift. With pronounced ‘elf ears’ the correction is often possible only after years, once the tension in the neck has eased.
