How do I best prepare for my breast surgery?
Once the decision about the breast surgery has been made and the date of the operation is fixed, the preparations can be made. But what exactly is it that you can do to contribute to the best possible result?

In preparation for the breast augmentation you have to attend to a number of medical and practical tasks.
To-dos before a breast augmentation:
- Stop smoking, in order to ensure better wound healing
- Avoid medicines such as aspirin, anti-inflammatory medicines and herbal preparations, as they can increase the risk of bleeding
- Continue to take any medicines you take daily.
Prepare your private life for the date of the operation:
- Ask someone you trust to drive you to and from your operation.
- Arrange the items at home that you use regularly beforehand, so that they are easy to reach. You will have restrictions on lifting, pulling, pushing and turning your upper body.
- Buy food for three to five days.
- Plan for one to two weeks off work.
