MiraDry against sweat! This is how the treatment works
Never sweat again? With the MiraDry method that is possible entirely without a scalpel or many needle pricks. Thanks to microwaves, excessive underarm sweat, ugly sweat marks on clothing and unpleasant odour are a thing of the past after only one session.

Anyone who tends towards excessive sweating or reacts to deodorants with skin irritation had for a long time only the choice between a scalpel and many needle pricks. Thanks to the MiraDry method that is at last over. By means of targeted electromagnetic energy - known as microwaves - the sweat glands in the armpits are obliterated. Permanently, with only one session.
A nice side effect: at the same time the skin is also freed of all hairs, even the very light or very fine ones that could not be captured by a laser treatment.
Step by step to a sweat-free life
The MiraDry procedure is carried out on an outpatient basis at the Kuzbari Centre. The treatment itself usually takes 40 - 60 minutes. About an hour should be allowed for the whole visit to the doctor.
Step 1: the consultation
As fundamentally with all treatments at the Kuzbari Centre, a detailed medical consultation is held in advance here too. The focus is on an optimal, promising, individual therapy and all questions about the treatment options as well as their risks.
Step 2: the preparation
The armpits should be shaved for the last time two to five days before the treatment. Before the treatment, temporary markings are made on the relevant area of skin. The skin is then disinfected and anaesthetised with a local anaesthetic.
Step 3: the treatment
Now the MiryDry handpiece is placed section by section on the marked areas. The skin is drawn in slightly and thus stabilised for the supply of energy. Then microwaves penetrate the tissue in a targeted way. A short but intense heat arises that destroys the sweat glands together with the nerves supplying them. At the same time a continuous cooling system protects the layer of skin and limits the heat to the area of the sweat glands. This means the treatment remains free of pain.
Step 4: aftercare
After the treatment the markings are removed and the armpits are cooled with cool packs. As a rule a noticeable reduction of sweat production sets in shortly after the session.
Do people need sweat glands under the arms?
No, because the human body has more than two to four million sweat glands. Only about two per cent of them are located under the arms. If these are removed, it has no influence on the body's ability to cool itself.
