Beauty no-gos with blemished skin
They mostly appear at the most inconvenient moments, they are unpleasant and hard to hide - spots and congestion under the skin. Why they appear and how they can be prevented is explained in this article.

Why does blemished skin occur?
Blemishes are unwanted not only visually; they are often painful too and leave unattractive marks and shifts in pigmentation. How do spots arise in the first place? Millions of small hairs sit on our skin. each of these hairs is supplied with sebum by a sebaceous gland at the root in order to keep the skin supple. If the pore is blocked, this sebum cannot reach the surface and collects under the skin. The natural bacteria on the skin particularly like to feed on the free fatty acids, so they can multiply particularly well and cause painful inflammation - the spots. In order to prevent blemishes, a few things should therefore be avoided; we reveal here which ones.
No-gos that you should definitely avoid
stress
Yes, we often do not find it easy to avoid stress; nevertheless it is a determining factor in our health - in the health of our skin too. In order to supply our skin, to encourage the renewal of cells and to function properly, our body needs energy. Under stress, hormones are released that encourage the formation of spots and the overproduction of the sebaceous glands. Therefore - slowing down helps.
Aggressive care
It seems the solution is simply to remove the film of fat on our skin; unfortunately that is rather counterproductive. Because if the skin is supplied with too little moisture and sebum, it reacts with excessive production, so there are even more blemishes. Gentle cleansing and care that provides enough moisture are better.
Mechanical peels too should not be used too often, since they are often too coarse and tend to lead to injuries. Light chemical peels with glycolic acid or salicylic acid are far better. These remove dead flakes of skin and stimulate the production of collagen.
Squeezing spots
An absolute no-go, particularly with "unripe spots" under the skin. Because if the sebum under the skin is squeezed out while the pore is blocked below the surface, the inflammation is made even worse. In addition, scarring and further inflammation easily occur, since the bacteria are quickly spread over the surrounding areas. So it is better to let it heal in peace.
Hygiene
Hands off blemished skin! Unfortunately our hands are a breeding ground for bacteria. Anyone who constantly touches their face often has problems with spots above all in the jaw and chin area, since we like to rest on our hands or brush hair out of our face. Pillowcases that are rarely changed also encourage the formation of blemishes and blocked pores.
The wrong diet
Everyone reacts differently to particular foods; nevertheless it can be said in general that a healthy diet rich in fibre promotes beautiful skin. Fatty foods with a high salt or sugar content are, however, better avoided. A great many people also react to dairy products and red meat with blemished skin.
And if nothing helps?
By avoiding these no-gos you can already do your skin a lot of good. If, however, the problem lies in a disturbed hormone balance, a keratinisation disorder or another medical cause, it is worth going to the dermatologist to clarify what is causing the spots.
