Beauty no-gos in autumn skin care
Avoid these common skin care mistakes and shine as brightly as the autumn sun! An overview of the beauty no-gos.

In summer our skin radiates - we are tanned, rested and, thanks to the sunlight, happier too. Spots are dried out and our skin appearance looks finer. Precisely in autumn, however, the tables are turned. The thickened horny layer built up by the strong UV radiation in summer prevents the sebum produced from draining away. This leads to blocked pores, blackheads and blemishes. In addition there is more heating again. For many people the dry air leads to sensitive and cracked patches of skin. Not so easy to find the right care now. There are a few points you should definitely avoid - we reveal the beauty no-gos in autumn skin care.
Skipping washday
Colder temperatures also mean warmer clothing. Although it keeps us cosy, unfortunately it is also the ideal place for bacteria. Headbands, scarves and jumpers can irritate the skin through friction and spread bacteria that can lead to inflammation. The forehead, neck, chin and back are therefore now particularly often plagued by blemishes. Wash your clothes regularly and pay attention to breathable materials.
Too much of a good thing
Does a lot help a lot? Unfortunately not in this case. Aggressive cleansing, mechanical peels and experiments with many different cleansing products unfortunately often lead to exactly the opposite. The skin defends itself with an over-reaction and the problem is then often even made worse. Cleanse your face with water and gentle products and avoid vigorous rubbing. Sometimes less really is more.
Drinking too little
In summer we find it easier to drink fluids; in autumn it is easily forgotten. Warming teas and soups can help to take in enough water, and some teas additionally have a positive effect on our skin, such as camomile, thyme and nettle.
