9 facts you did not yet know about aesthetic procedures!
Cosmetic operations have long since ceased to be reserved for Hollywood alone. Operative and non-operative cosmetic procedures are becoming ever more popular and also more accessible to a wider public. With the rising number of procedures, the number of bizarre stories naturally rises too. We have put together for you the 9 most interesting facts from the world of aesthetic surgery.

The Swiss are the country with the most beauty operations
Incredible but true – one of the smallest countries in the world is right at the front in the per capita comparison for beauty treatments. 31 % of the Swiss have already had a procedure or are planning to have one. After liposuction, the most popular cosmetic operation among Swiss women is breast augmentation, followed by rhinoplasty.
Men in the beauty craze
According to a study, the proportion of men having cosmetic procedures has risen by around 20 per cent. When men go under the knife, eyelid surgery comes first, followed by liposuction - so-called ‘body shaping’.
There were already cosmetic procedures in the Renaissance
As early as the 16th century the Italian Gaspare Tagliacozzi carried out a nasal reconstruction. For this he used skin that was taken from a patient's arm.
Costs of cosmetic operations
A survey confirms that our German neighbours are prepared to spend between 5,000 and 10,000 euros on cosmetic operations. For breast operations German women pay more than 4,000 euros. For liposuction some patients even pay up to 10,000 euros in order to get rid of the unwanted pads of fat. Smaller aesthetic-medical procedures, which cost around 500 euros, are popular with patients too.
Children's book about cosmetic operations
A further bizarre, although we also find it sensible, fact about cosmetic operations is the book ‘My Beautiful Mommy’. A German cosmetic surgeon wrote the book in order to give psychological support to the children of parents who have had operations and have changed noticeably from one day to the next.
The latest beauty trends
Navel corrections and the creation of dimples are in fashion and are rivalling the classic procedures on the breast and nose.
Beauty bonus in the Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic aesthetic procedures are part of the remuneration package offered by some healthcare employers.
How much fat may be removed?
This is an important question, since at over four litres there is a health risk. If more fat is to be removed, the next procedure must take place after a break of several weeks.
The largest bra cup in the world
Did you know that there are K cups? This bra size is worn by the Texan Sheyla Herschey – she even has ‘triple-K cups’! This enormous size is barely imaginable!
Whether in the field of liposuction, breast augmentation or a lift, the credo of the Kuzbari team of specialists is ‘responding to the individual’ and ‘bespoke work instead of mass production’.
