At our centre every procedure begins with a detailed initial consultation. There you get to know Dr. Dobrovits’ or Dr. Draxler . Afterwards we find out what the ideal implant for you is. To do so we analyse the size of your breast and the condition of the soft tissue. At the same time we carry out a wide variety of measurements and take photos. After that we show you before and after pictures of patients who came to us with a similar treatment wish. In addition you can get to know the result in advance in a 3D simulation.

In order to prepare you optimally for your operation, our medical Safety check takes place with our anaesthetist. A blood sample is also taken during this conversation. The findings obtained in this way form an important basis for approval for surgery. In addition we deal calmly with all your questions that are still open after the consultation.

On the day of the procedure you are admitted to our highly specialised clinic. Dr. Dobrovits’ or Dr. Draxler visits you before the start of the operation in order to mark up the breast.

While they do that, they go through the course of the operation with you once again. Most patients find that reassuring. Our anaesthetist also looks in briefly and discusses the most important points with you. We are very critical in the choice of our team and here too work only with excellent anaesthetists.

Immediately after the operation we visit you in our recovery room. The next morning we also hold the follow-up conversation with you in your room. Our doctors examine you and discuss the course of the operation. After that the nurses hand you your implant pass and you can leave our clinic again as early as before 11:00. 

While doing so you wear the support bra that was put on you after the operation. You now have to wear it for 3 weeks. You are given a second one to take with you and it is best to change the bra after showering. On discharge you already have Dr. Dobrovits's or Dr. Draxler's mobile number in your pocket, so that you can reach your medical contact outside consulting hours as well should you still have questions or be uneasy in any way.

We trust in scientific findings. Renowned studies show clearly that breast implants with a polyurethane foam coating significantly reduce the frequency of capsular contracture (= hardening of the connective tissue and deformation of the breast). The special coating also stabilises the implants and prevents them from twisting and shifting. Specifically for you this means a strong reduction in the probability of a corrective operation. During the operation you of course feel nothing, because you are asleep. Afterwards a breast augmentation feels like severe muscle ache – above all when the implants are placed beneath the chest muscle. But as long as you lie still, it does not hurt. Changes of position or touching the breast are, however, uncomfortable. For the treatment of the pain we give you painkillers to take with you and explain to you exactly how they are to be taken.

Immediately after the procedure you are somewhat restricted physically. The breast does look better overall than before, but it is still swollen and feels a little odd. During the first days it may be that you feel a little depressed. But that is entirely normal. Then it is a matter of closing your eyes and getting through it. In return you will be all the more pleased about the result after this time. And do not be afraid: we are glad to stand by you in this down phase as well, so do not hesitate simply to contact us. Some patients go back to work as early as 2 days after the procedure. There is nothing to be said against it medically, as long as it is a desk job. But please bear in mind that at this time you are not yet entirely fit physically and that arm movements in particular are still restricted. In addition you feel somewhat downcast.

Most patients need 3 weeks before they can take up physically demanding work again.

The breast usually looks very good just a few weeks after the operation – and gets better with every day. The very last residual swelling is gone after 6 months – and we look forward to a visit from you so that we can share your pleasure at your result.
